What to expect when making an appointment
We know dress shopping can be a daunting task for some so we decided to put together a simple guide on what to expect when making an appointment with us at Orlando Bridal Warehouse.
Appointments are for 1 hour. We don't have a limit on the amount of bridesmaid, quinceañera or wedding dresses you can try on within that hour. If you wish to try on more gowns than the time permits, we will schedule a follow up visit for you another day. A fitting room will be reserved for you and a consultant will be available for recommendations, suggestions, and trying on the gowns.
2. What to wear?
We suggest wearing clothes that are easy to get in and out of. Seamless underwear and an uplifting bra are recommended. We also suggest keeping makeup to a minimum. Makeup can easily smear and dirty a dress and can ruin it for the next person.
3. Who to bring?
More often than not your mother and maid of honor are the go to people to bring. Bringing an entire entourage of people can make the process a lot more stressful due to conflicting opinions which also makes the process take even longer than you make like.
4. Be Open Minded
We can't tell you the number of times we've had a bride come in and try on something completely different from what she initially came in looking for and looked stunning and fell in love with it. You never know until you try it on so be open minded.
Dresses come in all types of colors and styles and doing initial research before coming in is a great idea. The internet is full of information and images and you can get a little dress education which will make the entire dress shopping experience easier.
6. Get plenty of rest beforehand
Trying on dresses may seem like an easy thing to do at first however, dresses can be heavy and finding the right one can be time consuming. Trying to do this while being tired and not having enough rest the night before can make the process unpleasant.
7. Be honest with your consultant
When trying on gowns it's important to be upfront and honest with your consultant. They'll be helping in picking dresses you may like and need to know what you like and dislike about any given style. This helps them better understand which styles you may be more interested in.
8. Inventory changes
Our inventory of dresses is acquired from manufacturer liquidations so our inventory changes from month to month. New dresses come in and old ones are bought. That means if you come in and find something you like but decide to wait on it that dress could be gone in a couple weeks time. The great news about the way our shop works is we're able to pass on huge savings of 30-80% off what most of these dresses retail for.
